Donations

Much of our energy is directed towards fund-raising activities, but we rely on regular donations to continue our work. An important target is to cover the basic annual costs of running the school through regular payments by standing order. At present only a third of the necessary funds come through this channel.

As well as covering annual running costs, SAI has to provide furniture and teaching resources as the school grows. We also need around £50,000 to provide permanent quarters for the school.

The Charity intends to keep around one year’s running costs in reserve, in case fund raising does not reach the necessary targets.

We hope that tax paying donors will take the time to complete a form giving name and address details and permission to claim Gift Aid, a tax rebate for registered charities which effectively increases the donation by some 25%.

* if you decide to sponsor a child you will receive a report on the child’s progress at the end of each year of sponsorship, and when they are old enough, a letter from the child.
