Improving educational opportunities in India for disadvantaged children
The small cohort of pupils who joined Roseberry School on its opening day will leave in December this year (2013). They are all hoping to go to Secondary School, but if the money can be found they will still have to pass the tests set in English Maths and Nepali. Teachers have no concerns about their English and Maths, but although Nepali is their first language, they are not so good at written work in the language. We wish them every success in the future and hope that they will stay in touch with the school.
Every donation helps SAI provide better facilities for our students, here are some typical examples of costs that we incur on a regular basis. We have six classes with 20-25 children in each class.
