Visit Roseberry
We welcome English speaking students, teachers, or ex teachers to work as volunteers in the school. Our Indian agent is able to offer volunteers good food and accommodation in her own home at a very moderate cost. The children’s first language is Nepali, and the younger ones have only a little English, but working with them is a great joy. They have been taught to shake hands with foreign visitors when they arrive at school in the morning, and will say Good Morning Ma’am or Sir, an eye moistening experience!
Visitors are also very welcome by arrangement, to see what we are doing, and will be given a guided tour of the classrooms.
Our Agent’s husband Bijoy Rai is an experienced Tour and Trekking Guide with a particular interest in botany and bird-watching as well as considerable knowledge of culture and traditions of the area. He can undertake all local travel arrangements, and can also offer a variety of tours, including a visit to the school.
